Terrariums & Water

Less is always better!

When it comes to water your terrariums,
only spray gently once or twice a month, if necessary.

Mosses absorb water through their leaves system, not from the roots.

If your terrarium gets soaked, the plants will die.

The stone layer should never have water.
In case of too much humidity, try leaving the terrarium without the cover for a few hours.

In the small bottles you find the cutest terrariums!

This moss comes from the Black mountain, high there on the top, from where one can see the lake. I guess I brought a fairy back with me.

Welcome to Littlewood Terrariums & small gardens, we produce living moss terrariums, dry terrariums and plant decor inside glass. We are in Durham region, Ontario, Canada.

Our terrariums are whimsical and creative, many present miniature figurines inside. They stimulate imagination, bringing you inside an evergreen mini-universe.

Moss is a curious plant, it likes some shadow and indirect light, and absorbs humidity through its leaves, not the roots. It is ideal for terrariums and lives very well under artificial light. Moss Terrariums are a great choice for those who don’t have tons of natural light in their dwellings and for those who want to keep plant out of access for children or pets.

Our Terrariums and small gardens can be customized specially for you. They are a beautiful and elegant choice as a centerpiece for celebrations as marriages, engagements, charity events, graduations and many others. Our products can be tailored to attend your needs.
